01 Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how the Soundpocket Android application (the “App”) handles information when you use it.

Please replace the publisher placeholder above with the legal name that identifies the developer or company responsible for publishing the App before making this policy public.

02 Information and audio handled by the App

Soundpocket does not collect personal information for transmission to the developer and does not send user data to any server. The App does not require an account and does not ask you to register or provide personal details to use its creative features.

To provide its core features, the App handles certain content locally on your device:

  • audio clips recorded with your microphone;
  • supported PCM WAV files that you choose to import;
  • original tone sketches generated within the App;
  • session settings, including layer names, trims, timeline positions, gain, pan, loop and mute settings;
  • waveform information used to display the audio timeline; and
  • WAV mixes and ZIP backup archives created at your request.

This content is used to create, arrange, play back, save, restore, and export your sound sessions. It remains in the App's local storage and is not transmitted to us or to an external service by Soundpocket.

“Not collected” in this Policy means that the developer does not receive the content through the App. Soundpocket still needs to process and store your selected audio and session data locally so that its features can work.

03 Permissions

Microphone

Soundpocket uses microphone access only when you choose to record a new audio clip. Recording stops when you leave the App; the App does not continue recording in the background. Microphone access is not used to identify you or to send audio anywhere.

Network access

Soundpocket is designed to work offline and does not require Android's Internet permission. It does not upload recordings, session data, device identifiers, or usage information.

You can manage or revoke microphone access through Android's system settings. Without microphone access, recording a new clip will not be available, but other features that do not need the microphone may remain usable.

04 Imports, exports, and backups

You may import supported uncompressed 16-bit mono or stereo WAV files. Imported sources are processed locally by the App. Soundpocket can also export a stereo WAV mix and create a ZIP backup containing session settings and their source WAV files.

Creating a backup does not upload it. You choose where to save, copy, or share any exported WAV or ZIP file. Once a file is moved or shared outside the App, its storage and handling are governed by the destination, device feature, or service you choose, not by Soundpocket.

ZIP restore checks source files and their checksums before replacing the local library. These checks help validate backup integrity; they do not mean that the ZIP archive is encrypted or password-protected.

The backup size limit is 100 MB. Keep your own copy of any export or backup you wish to retain outside the App.

05 Sharing and third-party services

Soundpocket does not sell, rent, or share app content or personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. The App contains no third-party SDKs, advertising, or in-app analytics services.

The App does not include advertising networks, ad identifiers, or account-based tracking. It does not provide a developer-operated server or online account service for storing your sessions.

Android, your device manufacturer, and the app store from which you install the App operate independently of Soundpocket. They may process technical or account information under their own terms and privacy policies. This processing is not data collection by Soundpocket.

06 Local storage and deletion

Soundpocket can save up to 100 sessions locally. Your source audio and session data remain in the App's storage until you remove the App's data or uninstall the App. The developer does not keep a remote copy and cannot access or delete your local library remotely.

You can remove locally stored App data using Android's app storage controls (for example, Settings → Apps → Soundpocket → Storage → Clear storage; menu names may vary by device). Uninstalling the App may also remove its app-specific local data.

WAV files or ZIP backups that you separately exported or saved outside the App are not removed when you clear Soundpocket's app data. Delete those copies from the locations where you saved them if you no longer need them.

07 Messages you choose to send us

The App does not automatically send us messages or support requests. If you choose to email us, we will receive the email address, message, and any attachments that you decide to include. We use that information to read and respond to your inquiry and, where necessary, to address the issue you report.

This is separate from the App's offline operation. Your email provider and the providers involved in delivering or storing your email may also process the message under their own privacy policies. We do not use support emails for advertising.

We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the inquiry and any related follow-up, or for longer where a legal obligation requires it.

08 Age requirements

Soundpocket is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is a creative audio tool and does not provide prohibited content. The App does not collect personal information for age verification.

Because the App does not collect personal information through its features, it does not maintain a user profile or an age-related account record.

09 Your choices and privacy rights

You control the audio and sessions you create or import in Soundpocket. You can stop recording, revoke microphone permission, and remove locally stored App data using the controls described above.

Since Soundpocket does not transmit your local library to the developer, we cannot retrieve, provide, correct, or erase those files on your behalf. You manage them directly on your device and in any locations where you save exported copies.

If you contact us by email and applicable data protection law gives you rights in relation to that correspondence, you may ask us to provide access to, correct, or delete the information, or to restrict or object to its processing. You may also have the right to data portability or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, subject to applicable law and its conditions.
